Liv Stevns Peterson

Liv comes all the way from Copenhagen, Denmark where she left her teaching job at the Danish Academy of Musical Theatre to come study musical theatre at SDSU. “I am sponsored by my country to do this program which is awesome, I’m a very lucky girl,” said Peterson. From a very young age she always knew what she wanted to do. “I’ve been in love with musical theatre since I was a little girl,” said Peterson. She began her career in 1995 when she was cast in the Danish production of Bugsy Malone at the age of 10. From there she performed in several musical theatre productions including Guys and Dolls, The Three Musketeers and The Sound of Music. When asked why she chose musical theatre, Peterson has a very logical answer. “I could never really choose whether I wanted to sing, dance or act so I guess musical theatre is a great way to do it all.” After graduation Peterson plans to go back to Denmark where she will resume teaching and doing what she loves. “I feel like my hobby is my profession.”
