Sage Serrano is a current MFA candidate at San Diego State University in the School of Art + Design. San Diego native, she received her BA in visual arts studio with honors from the University of California San Diego. Primarily drawing base, her work explores concepts of identity, sustainability and absence. The found object is an important source of inspiration and aids her use of working with repurposed and environmentally conscious materials, such as cardboard and paper. For her drawing is a meditative process that helps her recollect, process, and make sense of the world.
