K-POP Dance Night
Featuring a live K-pop dance performance, this event also offers a karaoke contest and a K-pop flea market. The guest artists (K-pop creators, visual artists, dancers, and event planners) will also participate in class lectures and public panel conversations to share their strategies in arts and entertainment business on social media.

Ziggy, Stardust, and Me
A far out new musical theater adaptation of James Brandon’s young adult novel: a coming-of-age story and a coming out story about identity, friendship, and first love. With an exciting lineup of guest artists and scholars, the panel conversation will uplift stories around LGBTQIA+ and Native American histories and identities. Create Activisim
This two-day event centers on the creative work of contemporary Indigenous American artist-activists, including multidisciplinary artist, Cannupa Hanska Luger, and features an SDSU faculty round table discussion and a free screening of the 2020 opera Sweet Land. (School of Art and Design)

Hearing Conservation for Musicians
A two-part event features a conversation about musical illusions and the importance of preventing hearing loss in musicians, as well as a classical music performance by the SDSU Symphony Orchestra, including Tchaikovsky’s 6th Symphony, which features examples of the aforementioned musical illusions. Constructing Borderlands Personalities
An interactive papier-mâché workshop, an artist presentation and panel discussion, and a collaborative exhibition with tranfronterinx collective “Xingaderas” will all be part of this event, exploring intersectional border identities through mask making, photography, and film. In A Sunshine State
A world premiere musical theater performance of In a Sunshine State explores queer American history, focusing on the characters’ paths of self-discovery and love. A multi-disciplinary panel will invite Lillian Faderman, Author of e Gay Revolution to campus to discuss the contemporary context of this production and the importance of taking action in one’s own community. Indigenous Ecologies
In conjunction with the Imaginary Amazon exhibition that will be in the University Art Gallery, this panel discussion will explore Indigenous perspectives on nature, ancestral memory, and the struggle for land rights.
